The more beautiful the sky, the more hopeless the neighborhood.
The “Neighborhood” Issue takes us from Brixton, Kreuzberg, Tallin, Mexico City to Seoul with multiple stops on the way with a cover captured by Kito Muñoz igniting suburban angst.
Adriano Batista, Editor-in-Chief at Fucking Young!, introduces this new issue with his editor’s note.
“And even if we change neighborhoods, cities or countries, we always carry with us that sense of personal transformation that a piece of land, with its buildings, parks, bars, and people, has given us. We are almost certain to hang on to a sense of gratitude and nostalgia for it.”
This issue encompasses everything from the countryside to cityscapes that unites photographers, artists, musicians from Kida Kudz in London to Tommy Cash in Tallin and designers such as Heron Preston, Jacquemus and Festival d’Hyères winner Botter that have contributed to these pages playing on the emotions and impressions of our own backyards. Featuring Dior Homme, Gucci, Fendi, Givenchy, Camper, Lanvin and Louis Vuitton alongside emerging labels The Pack, Muslim Brothers, Cottweiler, and many more.
Many thanks to Contributing Photographers Allan Hamitouche, Asaf Einy, Daan Dam, Kapturing, Kertin Vasser, Marc Medina, Michiel Meewis, Park Jewon, Simon and Stella Asia Consonni.
Welcome to our neighborhood.
